It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, we can all get to a point where we just feel frazzled. A bad day, a tough week, a terrible month: they come at us when we’re not looking and can really take their toll.
But we don’t have to let circumstances bring us down, fight back for your right to feel great! If getting there feels like climbing a mountain don’t worry, here are 3 quick and simple tips to treating yourself right.
Exercise Class With a Twist
We all know exercise is good for us and the endorphins make us feel great, but that’s not exactly motivation to get us to go sweat it out in a crowded gym.
Keeping fit with an exercise class isn’t all aerobics, yoga or Zumba. If you do a quick internet search you can find all kinds of great things that go on in your area that really do make exercise something you can’t wait to do. From aerial hoop dancing to ‘ae-rock-bics’, to rock climbing and so much more. Find something you like the sound of and find it happening near you. It’s an amazing way to reinvigorate yourself and take a refreshing step away from the mundane.
It may be a cliché, but we all do it: we get home after a bad day and grab the wine and head to the freezer for the ice-cream. While ‘everything in moderation’ is a great mantra, it really doesn’t help too much if we’re watching our weight and looking after our health. Instead, switch the ice-cream for a plain and simple, healthy frozen yoghurt and add your own toppings to suit. If you really need a treat you can add something sweet, but you control the portions, so you don’t need to go overboard with the calorie count. However, we recommend trying kiwi fruit and chopped almonds – absolutely delicious!
Clothes might seem insignificant to self-esteem, but it’s surprising what a difference treating yourself to something special can make. Dressing to impress isn’t about other people, it’s about impressing yourself – reminding yourself that you’re no plain Jane lost in a crowd.
There really is no better way to do this than with some special underwear – after all only you and your other half will know about it, so what could be better for giving yourself that uplifting inner Goddess feeling?
Treat yourself to some designer underwear, embrace your body and be confident with who you are. Whether you just throw on an old T-shirt and jeans or a glitzy cocktail dress, you will have that little bit of luxury underneath to remind you that despite anything else, you’re fabulous inside and out.
