You should be able to comfortably fit two fingers in between the band and your skin. When you put the bra on, scoop your breasts completely into the cups so they sit in a forward position and are not spilling out the side or bottom. There should be an adhesive strip along the top of the cups which you should place along the front or top of your breasts to keep the bra in place.
